Galway Company Wins Top Award at National Occupational Safety Awards :
On Friday 11th October, 'Controlled Environments Company' (CEC) claimed the top spot in their category at the Irish 'Occupational Safety Awards' and were crowned 'Best Newcomers' out of hundreds of entries. The Awards night was held in the Galmont Hotel in Galway, where over 600 people were in attendance to witness the awards being presented. The Occupational Safety Awards - which this year celebrate their 28th year in existence attracts entrants across all industry types and is run in partnership by the 'National Irish Safety Organisation' (NISO) and the 'Northern Ireland Safety Group' (NISG).
The winning 2019 submission by CEC showcased the company's focus and superior performance in the area of Environmental Health & Safety and was focused on their operation at the Intel Ireland site. Speaking after the awards, managing director John Doyle stated "Safety has always been an area of extreme importance to us, and thankfully over the years the focus on safety across all industries in Ireland is growing. We as a company are very fortunate to deal with Intel who are also extremely safety conscious, and this award is a fantastic recognition of the emphasis we place on the safety of our own employees and all those we work alongside on the Intel Ireland site."
